The correct pump for the job is an engineering control that can reduce worker exposure to hazardous materials and minimize repetitive motion injuries.Learning Objectives: Distinguish between the various liquid chemical transfer methods in a facility including system pumps and point of use (transfer) pumps; Recognize the value of specifying the correct equipment and equipment components for use with a particular chemical to prevent leaks; and Explain how equipment selection can strengthen an environmental health and safety program.
